Another take on the ballet theme.

3 variations of the same picture not sure which I like best, so I posted 'em all.
The rough idea is on my other blog over at Illustration Friday.

My take on the whole Johnny Dep "Mad Hatter" thingy.
Plus gives you an idea how I work some.
Hope you enjoy this and the movies when it finally gets here; seems like forever already, but then that's Holly Would. Gotta milk it for all its worth.
Let's hope it is.

These 4 drawings are a continuation of the ideas I had for the word "Confined" which was used on Illustration Friday this week.
The bottom 2 are bascily the same but I couldn't decide which one I like most, so I posted both of them. The 3rd one is a take off of the one I did on my IF blog. The top is more like a still life composition.

Was listing to a song a few days ago by Ten Years After entitled "Love to Change the World" funny as I listen to it I realized, again nothing has change to much in the last 40 years. Same issues just a different decade, century or millennium. Sad thing about it all is we act as though the issues are always fresh and new to our own generation.

Another picture taken from a sketch of one of the children in Jalaca. This time I eliminated the black outline, to see which way I like better, with or with out a black line.

San Pedro Sula Airport, Honduras

This a drawing from a sketch I did of a couple while I was waiting to board the plane back to the States.

I took the three drawings below and incorporated them into this color drawing. This is a scene I regularly saw when going to the "Hacienda" to get some tool or material that we needed to continue our work each day. Only thing I left out now that I think about it where the dogs. Not sure how well I can draw animals let alone dogs. Will be something I'll have to work on. You'll have to check back this time next year after I come back from another trip or maybe I can find a few of "stick dog". Now there's a dog for ya. Trust me.

Honduras

Below are some line drawings I've done from sketches I did two summers ago in Honduras, Jalaca at the New Life Children home. This past sumer when I went back in July, I was to busy working on the girl's house to be able to draw much. Hopefully this summer when I go back I'll manage to do a few. The 3 color ones below these are also from that first trip.
